Throughout the last year our team worked tirelessly to ensure our diverse range of heating technologies work together seamlessly to ensure homeowners across the island of Ireland and further afield could benefit from the most reliable, efficient and cost-effective home heating solutions. From award-winning heating technologies to further product innovation, 2022 was filled with hard work and commitment from our team and partners.

With a continued focus on sustainability and reducing environmental impact, we are proud of the development of our innovative products which are committed to helping homeowners' future-proof their homes by incorporating highly efficient, renewable technologies.

Award-winners

2022 was a highly successful year for our heating technologies with the HVO biofuel compatible Grant Vortex condensing boiler and the Grant Aerona³ R32 air source heat pump both winning prestigious awards.

The HVO biofuel compatible Grant Vortex condensing boiler began 2022 by being awarded ‘Best Renewable Energy Product’ at the SEAI Energy Show 2022 and was as a finalist in the sustainability category of The Irish Times Innovation Awards 2021. Following on from this success, the Grant Vortex went on to be awarded ‘Innovative Product of the Year’ at the NI Plumbing & Heating Awards 2022. The product was considered as ‘the future for the Irish market’ and a breakthrough in renewable energy research.

The Grant Aerona³ R32 air source heat pump also achieved success being awarded ‘Heat pump product of the year’ at the prestigious National ACR and Heat Pump Awards 2022, beating off some very strong competition. This was the second time that the Aerona³ heat pump range was recognised at these prominent industry awards, the first being after its initial launch in 2018 when it achieved highly commended.

Launch of Grant Spira Pell condensing wood pellet boiler

In 2022 the new Grant Spira Pell condensing wood pellet boiler which ensures homeowners benefit from an ultra-efficient, cost-effective home heating solution was launched.  This was another example of our team's continued dedication to innovation. The original Spira was launched in 2011 and was the world’s first condensing wood pellet boiler. The new Spira Pell model includes some new and improved features including a universal hopper, rapid ignition, and user-friendly digital display.

Grant Vortex external Module range receives a makeover

Midway through 2022, the Grant Vortex external module received a makeover with the casing being updated to a new grey powder coated finish. The new goose grey colour gave the Vortex external model range a distinctive, aesthetically pleasing,  modernised look.

Grant Vortex and Euroflame oil fired boiler ranges were streamlined

In August 2022, the Grant Vortex and Euroflame oil fired boiler ranges were streamlined, with many existing models rationalised to simplify the selection, making the process of merchants ordering the products more straightforward overall. The team made the decision to rationalise the boiler models from 63 models down to 22 - a change which makes it much easier for our customers, installers, and merchants in selecting, installing, and stocking products from our oil boiler range.

The Grant Euroflame oil boiler range which featured 9 boilers across the utility, module and boiler house ranges was rationalised down to 6 boilers – 2 models for each range.

All Grant combi boilers remained the same with no change coming into effect for these boilers, however, the Vortex wall hung, and Vortex blue flame range are no longer manufactured or available.

Grant joined Octabuild

Grant joined Octabuild in 2022, a unique organisation among representative groups in the building and construction industry with the objective of promoting the benefits of high quality, Irish manufactured products for the building, construction and DIY sectors.
